7 Ways to Get Backlinks to Your Website
by Herman Drost 11/17/2009
Backlinks refer to web sites linking to your site. The number and quality of them determines how well your web site will rank in the search engines. If you have a new site or one that is not currently ranking well start a link building campaign.
Here are 7 ways to get backlinks to your website:
1. Create linkworthy content
Write a substantial article of 700-800 words on a topic you know or have researched. Most site owners write short articles so yours will stand out from the competition. Short articles tend to be too thin on content. A well written article will naturally get readers to link to it, place it on their website or in their newsletter.
2. Submit to article directories
Article directories already attract lots of visitors and rank well in the search engines. Submitting your article to them not only gives you a high value backlink on their site but it may also get top rankings.
3. Write a press release
Press releases are a great way to let people know about your online business. Submitting to multiple press release sites will generate multiple backlinks and often bosot your rankings.
4. Submit content to social media sites
Create video and audio files from your written content. Submit your videos to video sharing sites such as YouTube, Yahoo! Video, BlipTV, Revver. Convert your audio to a podcast and submit it to podcast directories such as AllTop, Podcast Alley, Digital Podcast.
5. Syndicate content to social bookmarking sites

Secrets to Using Press Releases For Building Backlinks
by Blake Evans 11/17/2009
The main objective of a search engine optimizer is to get a number of backlinks for your website. And using press releases is one of the most useful ways of getting these links. For instance, if have a business that sells products, then you can publish a news release about this.
But you need to find ways to focus the storylines. This is different from writing an article, as through an article you preach, but through releases you break a story. So here are some helpful tips.
1) You can hire a ghostwriter to write a release for you, whether you want to publish a new release every week or every month will depend on you. There is no hard and fast rule for that.
2) These days a number of trained writers and related service providers are available for writing releases. But while it may be cheaper to hire ghostwriters, they may not provide quality writing all the time. So it might prove wise to employ a professional writer who is trained to write press releases which will benefit you. Good quality writing will help you get more backlinks than you expected.
3) Once the news release is ready you should submit it immediately, dont miss the opportunity of getting quick results.
4) You can find software and services that will help you distribute your news releases to different web directories, similar to online article directories. They are also forums which accept news from different companies and send it to appropriate places. These forums ... add comment [ comments 0 ]
Link Popularity Explained With Examples
by Sudharshana P. H. 11/17/2009
Link Popularity has been the talk of the webmaster community for years. You must be wondering why link popularity is so popular. I am going to explain it with some real life examples. Link popularity can be simply explains as the total number of links pointing to your site. But please remember link popularity is not all about quantity. It is a mix between quantity and quality.
Step 1
Suppose a patient wants to channel a best doctor from this local area. So the first factor he will consider is the qualifications of the doctor. Suppose he finds several doctors who are qualified. But now how can he choose the best person?
We can apply same theory for search engines. This is like on-page optimization of your site. Doctor should have basic qualifications. Likewise your site should have basic qualifications to get index and rank. But if search engine finds several sites with same type of contents, service and on-page optimization, how can they determine the best one?
Step 2
Now he has to listen to others, get reviews and recommendations.
Option 1
Suppose a professor who has a good name in medical industry recommends doctor "A" as a best doctor. Its a strong motivation for the patient to select doctor "A".
Option 2
Suppose few patients who were already treated by doctor "A" recommend him. It is also a strong motivation to choose doctor "A".
Option 3
Suppose one patient who was already treated by doctor "A" recommend him. It is also a motivation to choose doctor "A". But it ... add comment [ comments 0 ]

by Paul Guzman 11/17/2009
There are hundreds of ways to get high ranking pr backlinks to your site. And I will give you one of my methods that works very well.
Of course everyone knows the more good content you have and the more back-links you get are essential to your marketing efforts. Without these Internet Marketing techniques you are basically swimming in sand.
My method may be considered a bit unorthodox but it works. It might not be your cup of tea but it easy to do and your credit card can stay in your pocket/purse. Ok so here is my method.
We are all constantly being bombarded with emails (spam & non-spam) from other so called marketing gurus claiming they can give you the perfect opportunity, the easiest article marketing program or thousands of backlinks in a matter of days. Believe it or not I read most of these emails and they will always give away a free ebook, video or report in exchange for joining their list.
Once I become a subscriber they will now send me the free report or e-book Most of these free e-books or reports are not very good and are usually the same old b.s. Sometimes I do get surprised with some really good ones. But the important thing is not the e-book or the report but getting on this IM gurus list.
You might think "why would he want to be on all these lists? Ill get to the point right now. Of course they will invariably send me more ... add comment [ comments 0 ]
How to Get High PR Backlinks Which Will Skyrocket Your Rankings! On Auto-Pilot!
by Tom Brite 11/17/2009
Im going to run through the basics of high PR backlinks and try and make it as simple as possible to understand so just bare with me for now while i explain everything even if you already know it you will learn something new.
What is PR?
PR stands for Page Rank and is an indication of both the quality of your website in terms of seo and also gives a rough indication of the backlinks that the site has. However it is only a rough indication for both!
PR is gained by getting backlinks from websites with PR themselves, that PR juice is then split between all of the links on that page equally. But only if they are what is called do-follow backlinks.
What is no-follow and do-follow?
No-follow is a new piece of code to which google developed which basically means any link with this tag attached will then not pass any link juice to the site in which it is linking to. So if you want the PR juice then you need to get normal backlinks which are now called do-follow.

4 Killer Internet Business Ideas For an Effective Link Building
by Juhani Tontti 11/17/2009
To become successful, your internet business ideas need lots of related backlinks, which are equipped with the keyword as hyperlink. But if you build tens or hundreds of links per day, which all have the same anchor text and which come from unrelated sites, the search engines see them spam very easily.
1. The Target Is To Get Natural Backlinks From High Authority Sites.
There are differences with the links and the ideal link is from a high PR site, which is highly related to your internet business ideas. To get the best results, you have to use several types of link building methods, not only blog comments or article marketing but also additional ways. And you have to use several anchor texts too, rather with the long tail keywords.
2. Google Sees The Links From Other Internet Business Sites And Blogs As Votes.
The job of Google is to serve the information seekers as well as possible. The job is not easy. However, if your site has lots of backlinks from other sites, it is a sign that the site is more useful, than a site with zero links. To build a farm of targeted backlinks, I recommend the long tail keywords as anchor texts.
To be able to build natural backlinks, you have to use several sources like article directories, social sites, blog comments, forum posts, links from other sites and social bookmarking sites. The group of links to which you cannot influence are the links, which other people put on their sites ... add comment [ comments 0 ]
Basic Link Building Campaign
by Rayyan Syed 11/5/2009
Every webmaster is having his own style of building links. But my link building campaign is completely different and search engine friendly. I have worked on many keywords and have successfully bought those keywords in Google first page listing. From my past experience i can say that my link building campaign works like charm.
How my link building campaign works for a website or blog?
Honestly, your should not have to build links fatly, especially when your domain is new. Building links should be done very carefully and it should look very natural to search engines.
My link building campaign:
1) Social bookmarking - 1st step
2) Directory submission - 2nd step
3) Article marketing -3rd step
4) Blog commenting - 4th step
5) Contextual links from theme related pages - 5th step
6) Theme related Blog roll links - Last step
Social bookmarking: Every link building campaign starts with manual social bookmarking. You have to submit unique content to every social media site and the keywords should be 100% related to your website or else Google will consider as a keyword spam. Social bookmarking is the terrific method to gain social media traffic for any website.
Directory submission: Try to submit your site to top 300 niche related directories manually with correct keywords and description. Now a days many directories are requesting a reciprocal link. They are not accepting our site unless if we dont add their site in any our sites. For ... add comment [ comments 0 ]
Linking to Your Website, Naturally
by Jeffrey Kirk 11/5/2009
In reference to attracting the attention of search engines, one of the buzz phrases tossed around these days is "natural links" as in, "to get the search engines to rank your site well you need to have natural links coming to your site."
In its purest sense natural linking is linking that occurs naturally. Youre probably thinking thats rather obvious. Think deeper. This really means that your website has some really great content that is compelling enough that other people want to create links from their site to your site. When the search engines visit those sites they see the links to your site, along with the associated anchor text, and that gives your site a boost in the search results pages.
So, how do you get good natural links? Create really good and/or desirable content! Create content that others want to read and share. If it is amazing enough to stand out among the noise, youll likely have a winner that generates natural linking with little of your own effort.
Frankly most website content is not good enough to stand out on its own. When people realize that their web content isnt all that good, or that no one seems to be interested, or they just want more incoming links, then they start to think about creating more links "naturally."
Unfortunately, how natural can linking be if it is deliberately planned as an intentional act to get search engine attention? It cannot and therefore "natural ... add comment [ comments 0 ]
Your Link Profile Explained
by Tom Greaves 11/5/2009
Your link profile is fundamental to your search engine optimisation efforts. Is it just about how many links you have? Where do these links need to pointing? Is it just about the quality of those links?
Your link profile is more complex than you might think and Google uses ever aspect of it to decide where to rank your site. No matter what you do on page, it is not going to have the same SEO impact as building a solid link profile will.
So what really matters? Well the first thing to think about is link diversity, do you think Google will rank you highly with 10000 links from 10 or 20 sites? No you are going to have to create a diverse link profile acquiring links from as many unique domains as possible.
Next you need to consider where those links are pointing, is it just the links that point to that particular page that help it rank. Google really want to see a quality domain with links pointing to many different pages, when building links you need to look to point them at deep pages of your domain, this will pass more authority to your site as a whole and help you to rank.
The next big debate is link quality or quantity, many SEOs will tell you its all about quality but that would not be accurate, the truth is that Google actually places more weight on sheer quantity, its not that ... add comment [ comments 0 ]
4 Major Advantages to Link Building
by Charles Kassotis 11/5/2009
You have to build one-way links to your website in order to be successful, right? But why? There are many SEO experts out there offering information about the best methods of gaining backlinks, deep links and one-way links, but what about the basic facts of why these links are so important to the small website that may have no idea what backlinks even are? To clear that up, backlinks are hyperlinks published on other websites leading to your website and there are major advantages to building these hyperlinks.
#1 Links Increase and Page Rank Follows
There is a direct correlation between the page rank of a website and the number of inbound links published pointing to that website. But remember, a website is different from a webpage. A webpage is just one page with only one URL that can be used for linking. A website, however, is built of multiple pages that each require links to gain and maintain that same page rank. Just because the main URL of a website is ranked in the top 10 does not mean the inner pages are ranked at all.
#2 Links Increase and Traffic Follows
With increased page rank comes an increase in organic traffic. This is the best traffic because it is often a steady source of profit potential. The higher on the search engine rankings page your website is listed for a competitive keyword or phrase, the more traffic your website will have.

What is Link Strength?
by Charles Kassotis 9/12/2009
When learning how to increase the number of deep links to your website, you should also learn the difference between a weak link and a strong link. A strong link does not have to be from PR4, PR5 or PR6 .com domains. Instead, establishing links from .edu and .gov websites, no matter their PR number can be a more effective campaign choice.
Any .com domain can build a high PR number with the right amount of online content, backlink effort and traffic. This does not mean, however, that the website offer trusted information. The .gov and .edu websites are run by educational and government authorities which means the content is held to a higher standard.
The Visitor and the Domain
If two websites a .com and a .gov publish an article on the same topic, which website do you believe will offer the more trusted information? The government website will be the source people will believe. Authority is the work often used. The more authority a website has, the stronger the link strength.
Link strength is especially important for a website that has focused all marketing efforts on the home page of their website. The inner pages, or source URLs for deep links, need to play catch up. There is no better way to play catch up that by establishing a few links to deep pages of the website on .edu and .gov domains.

Link Building - Give it Time
by Jim Hale 9/12/2009
Every successful endeavor has to have a network of support, which is why link building is so crucial to successful Web efforts. The network that can carry a Web site or information site to the top is built with exposure to a specific group of people. Target audiences are an essential factor for anyone considering directory submissions. Suppose you have a site that offers Product A and related services. There is a percentage of the online population that will go to major search engines and use Product A or one of the related services as a keyword for their search. Having a Web site and its link at the top of the search engine when this target group searches could mean significant traffic to your site and consequently, significant income for you.
Taking any and all opportunities to display a link, on any Web site you come to, is sort of like throwing a bunch of taffy on the wall to see how much sticks. Link building is both a science and an art. There are proven, successful ways to make these connections work without wasting a lot of time and money getting onto every list available.
A close look at the phrase we mentioned reveals not only that search engines are important but that the process must be optimized. This means you have to do what it takes to make your site and your links available to the correct group of people. The bottom line is, if ... add comment [ comments 0 ]
The Importance of Linking Your Website
by Jack Miller 9/12/2009
Many people tend to misunderstand the Internet to a certain extent, especially if they are just starting out with their online business. They may think that it is still possible to come online, build a website and reap the rewards without any other work on their part. Although there are rare occasions whenever this may happen, the simple fact of the matter is that you need to work on your website continually in order to see results.
One of the most important things that you can do to your website is to get incoming links regularly. As a matter of fact, I cant stress enough just how important it is for you to be doing this without letup. This is a process that is known as off-site optimization and if it is done properly, you will begin to receive traffic very quickly from the search engines, especially Google.
The reason why these links are so important is because the Internet is one big popularity contest. The only way that the search engines have of knowing whether your website is popular or not is by looking at the incoming links and seeing exactly how many there are that are coming your way. The more links you have coming in, the more the search engines consider your website to be popular and they will reward you as a result.
One of the main problems with this is, it can be difficult to get these links, especially if youre just ... add comment [ comments 0 ]
