20 DOLLARS AN HOUR POSTING ON FORUMS  by

 Terry Hart
10/5/2008 at 11:55
Are you a sociable type? If you are and you dearly love making friends and chatting on topical forums you can really make some serious money working from home online. It does sound too good to be true and I am the first to admit when I discovered this was possible I was amazed, but I assure you it is 100% true. You can join forums and make friends and chat with them online sharing your knowledge of for example dog grooming. Or how to play guitar forums. It is up to you what your interests are.

How much can you make? It all depends on how many forums you join and begin getting active on and how you go about dispensing your friendly and professional advice and ideas about the topics you chose. But I don’t think it would not be a stretch to say you could easily make 20 dollars an hour or more.

Here’s how it works. You find a company that allows affiliate assistance. You choose one of their products on a particular topic and they give you a special link. This link has a code in it that when clicked by others at the forums you join, will embed a tracking cookie on their computer that simply has a line of short code in it that designates you as the referring affiliate. This is how they know who to pay for the sale and typically the commission is 30% not bad! There are some places you can ...

HOW TO MONETIZE AN INTERNET FORUM  by

 Brian Krassenstein
10/5/2008 at 11:55
There are thousands of ways to make money online, and millions of people doing it, however one way that most people seem to think is a sure bet at striking internet gold is by creating a website with lots of traffic. This clearly is the right path, however what most beginners do not realize is that traffic does not always equal riches.

You can have a site generating 100,000 unique visits per day, but if those visitors are not clicking ads or buying anything from your site than you are just left with a hefty server bill to pay for all that bandwidth these people are using up. Having said this, Internet forums are usually the most difficult to monetize despite what people think. Here are 4 things you need to know if you wish to run a successful Internet forum and make some cash while at it:

#1 Know your Topic.
If you are a 5th grade teacher, it’s probably not best to create a forum about aerospace engineering, and vice versa. The more you know your topic, the easier it will be to set up folders at your forum directed to the people interested in this topic. It is also much easier for you to understand your potential advertisers and affiliates you may try and sell for.

#2 Know your Audience.
You will want ads which are clearly directed towards the people browsing your forum. If you are running a Harley Davidson Forum, your members are not going to be interested in the ...

IMAGINE USING ONLINE FORUMS TO DO FREE ADVERTISING!  by

 Joe Rispoli
10/5/2008 at 11:54
Consider this, while forum marketing is free, it also has the potential of providing highly targeted traffic to your website if you choose the correct forums to participate in. They can be found all over the Internet; online business forums, internet business forums, internet marketing forums, network marketing forums. Just type any of these phrases into any search engine. Not only are forums a great way to meet others, learn and exchange ideas, but they are also a perfect way to brand your name and business.

Check out these helpful ideas for your forum marketing success:

1. Before joining any forum, make sure that they allow you to add a signature file, not all do. Read the Faq before joining, not after. A signature will allow you to add three of four lines of copy describing you and your business. Every time you post in that forum your signature will show up at the bottom of your post, just like the signature used with email.

TIP: Your sig file should be put together in such a way that the forum readers will be interested in knowing what your website is all about.

2. It makes sense to only join forums that relate to your business and to what you are trying to accomplish. Don’t waste your time posting on a forum that will not bring any targeted traffic to your website.

TIP: Stay away from any forum arguments even if you feel that you have the answers. It is best for you business not to ...

FREE ADVERTISING THROUGH THE USE OF FORUMS - HOW?  by

 Bryan Bracken
4/19/2008 at 09:50
Have you ever wanted to have a extremely powerful advertising campaign that didn’t cost you a cent?

You can, but how?

With the use of public forums.

Yes, but when I advertise within a forum how can I do it without being classified as a Forum Spammer. (really bad)

First don’t advertise your links within the body of the post this could be classified as a self serving post (spam) which is taboo on most forums etc. Although there may be a spot in the forum to advertise whatever but this would depend upon each forum you may be able to or you may not. If you can don’t plaster the forum with numbers of posts that are self serving since again this is bad and can be classified as spam.

A way around the dilemma is to use a tool that is called a Forum Signature. Within a signature you usually can self promote and be able to put self serving links such as affiliate links, links to you site or blog and so forth.

That sounds great but how can I receive the most benefit from my Signature?

First write excellent posts that are pertain to the forum and become well known as a person who knows what they are talking about. Once that happens you will gain respect from within the forum and out of curiosity someone reading your post may become curious and then click on your link in your Signature.

Then second, try to decide what you want to promote. If it is ...

A SIMPLE GUIDELINE FOR SUCCESS IN FORUMS  by

 Dean Quek
4/19/2008 at 09:50
There are online forums meant for all kinds of topics and focus, and these forums attract all kinds of different people to participate in the community. Some people join forums to make more friends, some people join forums to discuss about a certain hobby or interest, and some people join forums to advertise and make money.

Forums are a fantastic way to promote your product or service. And perhaps the best thing about forums is the close-to-immediate response of the community, which is not possible in other avenues of advertising. With that said, there are certain tips and methods to get positive results in forums. And any person participating in forums in the aim of promoting their service or product would perhaps like to take note of these points to achieve the desired results:

1. There are an almost un-countable number of forums out there. Be selective, and choose your forums carefully. This is because only a certain number of them will apply to you and your business.

2. Determine your purpose before joining a particular forum. It may be fun chatting and making new friends in the forums, but unless it helps your business, there probably isn’t any reason for you to be there.

3. Make sense in your posts. If you often deviate from the topic at hand, the community will soon ignore your posts.

4. Do not blatantly spam or advertise. Many forums take spam very seriously. It will turn the community off, and might result in you getting banned or your ...

ARE YOU A FORUM PHANTOM?  by

 Dale King
4/19/2008 at 09:49
I am totally amazed at how many people whom post on forums claim they want to be successful, yet they do everything they can to sabotage their success by concealing their identities.

No full name, no pic, no address, no phone number, no website... If your goal is too become successful online, that’s certainly not the way to do it. Look at the top marketers. We know their names, where they live, what they look like, etc. That’s how they became top marketers. They developed a brand and trust factor online, by opening up and revealing who they are.

They allowed us to get to know them. And people buy from people they know and trust. That’s an ironclad fact. Hiding behind a silly avatar and screen name doesn’t instill very much trust. Who or what are you guys hiding from? Are the cops hot on your trail?...the feds?...a jealous ex? Seriously though, would you give your money to a phantom? Well then, why would you expect anyone to give their money to you? So many people who post on forums are phantoms. Why? Actually, a better question is, unless you are indeed hiding from the law, why not put yourself out there?

The more familiar people are with you, the more people will trust you, the more likely they are to buy from you. After all, isn’t that why you’re in business in the first place? I just don’t get it. Now I understand, some people just aren’t very secure in how ...

5 REASONS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE INTERNET BUSINESS FORUMS  by

 Juhani Tontti
3/12/2008 at 16:07
The forum participation is maybe the most effective way to learn, get contacts and ask questions, than any other method.

However, maybe due to the easiness of the forum writing, we do not always see it`s value. That`s why I put together this article and listed 5 best points, which make the forum participation so important:

1. Forum Posts Build Brand Effectively.

The major reason comes from the fact that forum is interactive, informal place, where the idea is to help each other.

The great helpers get a good image, i.e. brand. That`s in the nutshell, what recruiting is!

Which one do you think will succeed better: the one who shares his aid regularly and even gives information, which has taken months to dig, or the one about whom you do not know anything but a staying website? What makes the internet business successful are repeated visitors, who also distribute their recommendations to their friends.

Forum posts keep your name active in the peoples`memories, so when they need you, they will remember your name.

2. Forum Posts Build Backlinks.

I was positively surprised, when I saw my new backlink report: so many from my favorite forum. This was a clear evidence that search engines value them highly. Because of the nature of the sig-file backlinks, they bring also a nice amount of very targeted traffic, which has a strong influence on my sales figures.

3. Good Internet Business Ideas.

It`s funny thing.

Despite of the amount of silly questions, which many of us do in the forum posts, just those are ...

7 TIPS FOR POSTING IN FORUMS  by

 Alyice Edrich
3/12/2008 at 16:05
On a kick about car seats this past month, I’ve frequented forums discussing car seats, safety factors, and children. I’ve learned a lot of valuable information, was able to voice my opinion on our newly acquired car seat, and discovered a disturbing truth-not all marketing is good marketing.

Upon reading several threads this past week, I ran across a few posts that sounded like blatant advertisements, but chucked my thoughts on the subject because when I am gung-ho about a product, I, too, can sound like a blatant advertisement. Yet, regulars on the boards were not impressed and some even lowered their views of a product when they felt they were being pitched by the company-which had me questioning what we, as small business owners sound like when we hit the Internet to promote our products, services, speaking engagements, and conferences.

When you set out to announce your business to the world, do you-in your enthusiasm-sound like a spammer? Do you only post to promote your product or services? Do you only post when you can directly influence the reader’s view on your product or service? Do you only post so you can "sell" your product or service? Or do you post to offer valuable insight, resources, and views?

When posting to forums, follow these simple tips to achieve true word-of-mouth advertising-all of which I am learning by trial and error, myself:

1. Only post when you have something of value to share-even if it has nothing to do with your services or your ...

HOW TO POST TO FORUMS EFFECTIVELY  by

 Patrick Schwerdtfeger
3/12/2008 at 15:56
There are a lot of great ways to drive traffic to your website and many of those tactics are absolutely free. In my experience, two of these strategies stick out from the rest. Between these two approaches, virtually any webmaster can build massive traffic to their website over a period of time. They are (1) posting on forums and (2) article marketing.

Posting on forums is the most immediate way to get traffic to your website. You can literally sign up for an account and put some posts on various threads and you could have traffic coming to your website an hour later. This article will look at a variety of details you should keep in mind when posting on forums. As always, there’s a smart way to do this and a less smart way. Our goal is to use the smart way.

The first step is to identify the forums you want to contribute to and I recommend doing a few Google searches with your primary keywords and the word forum. This will quickly identify the large forums in your area of expertise. And if the forum is coming up high on a Google search, it’s probably getting a ton of traffic and that’s exactly where you want to be. Be creative and use a variety of different keywords to ensure you find all the big forums you can contribute to.

Once you’ve created an account on a forum you’re interested in, be sure to spend a little time every single day ...

TIPS ON ENCOURAGING FORUM CONVERSATION  by

 CD Mohatta
3/12/2008 at 15:54
There are many effective little techniques that encourage forum posting. One of the tricks that helps to encourage forum conversation is to end some of your posts with leading questions. "What do you think?" "How do you do it?" "Does anyone know how to ____?" Questions give an easy opening for the next person to post, just as they help foster conversation in real life.

If you start a new thread, it often is more successful if your first post is short and asks a question, as opposed to being several paragraphs in length that cover a topic more thoroughly. This is kind of surprising because you might have thought a longer post would be more intriguing, but try it and see! You’ll notice a difference. So, even if you’ve thought about a topic a lot, try not to say much in the first post. This lets other people be "experts" too and they will enjoy the conversation.

In writing classes they often teach you to write strong. Strong writing is well thought out, authoritative, doesn’t use the word, "I," has good grammar, spelling, and punctuation. But on a forum, it can intimidate others so that they won’t post. If instead you say, "I think," "Gosh, how do you spell that?" include personal stuff, and so forth, it makes the writing less formal and more like you’re sitting across the cafe table from an old friend! This makes others comfortable so they are more likely to open up.

Compliments about what someone posted ...
