HOW TO GET MORE SUBSCRIBERS FOR YOUR EZINE?  by

 Sameep Shah
10/5/2008 at 11:30
Ezine publishing is an established way to communicate with people on the web. It was, perhaps, the earliest communication medium in the history of Internet. People used to give valuable information through ezines and gathered subscribers over years. Still today, ezine publishing is a lucrative online business. Once you have a considerate number of subscribers, you can get lot of advertisements for your newsletter. And it also builds your brand name.

The conventional methods to bring subscribers to your newsletter are not that effective these days. So using new methods like using Web 2.0 to gather subscribers and giving valuable information is effective. You can bring traffic to your newsletter site in a number of ways:

Through Opt-in page - The conventional method to bring traffic is to use an opt-in page laden with valuable information. The new way is to create a video of your newsletter and tell people what they will get by subscribing to your newsletter. The hints, tips and value info are a surefire attention grabber. Use a video on your opt-in page and give some cool bonuses just by entering name and email address. Also use some unique methods to tweak your opt-in page. Bring traffic through normal ways - forums, Adwords, yahoo overture, reviews on the blog.

Through RSS Feeds - RSS feeds are next to email marketing. Your content lands in the inbox of the subscribers. People prefer to subscribe to RSS feeds instead of giving out email addresses. So to make sure your newsletter is ...

THE FASTEST WAY TO SUCCESS WITH EZINE ADVERTISING  by

 Lori Gorman
10/5/2008 at 11:29
An ezine is an online newsletter. They are used to share news, updates and promotions. They are a great way for webmasters to generate traffic to their site and keep in touch with their visitors.

Generating traffic to your site through an ezine is not that complicated. Most, if not all, ezines accept third party advertising. What that means is Joe Smith has an ezine relating to car maintenance. You are selling a new car polish that will protect the finish of your car. You place an ad in Joe Smith’s car maintenance ezine. This will also help Joe (the ezine owner) to offset the cost of operating his ezine as well as give him an additional source of income.

You can choose to place an ad for your website, product or service in the ezine. You can place different ads in different ezines. If this is done right, you will generate loads of traffic to your site.

You should place your ads in ezines that are related toward your specific niche. Be as specific as you can to narrow the possibilities. To use the above example, let’s say your car polish is used on vintage cars to restore their original color and shine. Would you then place your ad in an ezine for the new 2009 sports car or an ezine relating to car restoration? By narrowing your target audience, you will get the most for your money.

Try browsing sites in your niche to see which ones run an ezine. You can ...

3 SIMPLE TIPS ON HOW TO START A MAGAZINE PUBLISHING COMPANY  by

 Joseph Nyamache
10/5/2008 at 11:28
Magazine publishing is still one of the fastest growing industries in the country. More people get into this business, as it becomes a more popular way to get news and information. Magazines are available to fill just about every niche, and you can start your own, too.

Of course, there are the major magazines such as those that cater to beauty and fashion, but there are also those that cater to more specific audiences and hobbies, such as auto mechanics, carpentry, hunting, and the list goes on.

To help them survive, magazines have begun to do niche marketing, whereby they target specific readers to buy products within a certain venue. This is quite easy to do since the people reading the magazine are also consumers within that niche. It’s true that advertising and sales, as well as marketing, aren’t going to be as pervasive as they might be in another industry since the magazine is already preaching to the choir. That means the readers are already interested in the products advertised in the magazines as part of that niche.

However, it’s still quite a feat to start a magazine, no matter how badly you think a niche needs to be filled. It can be a headache to organize and put it out every week, month, or how often you do it. However, if you know the market and you know how to meet that market’s needs, it can be quite easy to start a magazine. Here are some ways to begin a magazine ...

3 TIPS FOR A KILLER EZINE  by

 Steven Wagenheim
10/5/2008 at 11:28
An effective ezine is one of the best ways to build a list and turn prospects into customers. The problem that many marketers have is that they don’t know how to properly manage their ezine. This article is going to give you three solid tips to make your ezine as effective as possible so that you retain subscribers longer and turn more of them into paying customers. That is, after all, the bottom line...right? So let’s get started.

The first tip is probably the most important. When you target people to subscribe to your ezine, you have to make sure that you give them plenty of incentive to want to subscribe in the first place. With so many marketers moving the free line, this gets harder and harder to do. Just offering them a free report or a follow up newsletter is not enough. You need to do both. You have to give the subscriber as much value for free as you can. You are competing with a lot of people. The more you give, the more you will get.

The second tip is to make sure that when you get a subscriber, you deliver on your promise and DON’T pitch them too often. People do NOT like to be sold to. If your ezine is nothing but one sales pitch after another, trust me, these people are going to tune you out. If you promised them a free report and a 52 week newsletter, give it to them. Don’t bombard them ...

PUBLISHING A NEWSLETTER - A FEW THINGS TO CONSIDER - PART ONE  by

 Joseph R Primm
10/5/2008 at 11:27
In the fast paced and extremely competitive world of internet business today, savvy business owners and webmasters alike are finding more and more creative and effective ways to monetize very nearly every aspect of their businesses.

These internet marketers, both huge conglomerates and modest one man operations, of this exciting new tech oriented era have come to realize that one of the most determining factors related to their success or failure is now, and always has been, a properly structured and tediously cultivated consumer database.

Not surprisingly, the phrase "the money is in the list" has become the bi-line for literally thousands of marketing promotions offering a huge array of techniques and products promising all sorts of list building results, most of which rely on one key element to be effective... website traffic.

One very effective tactic which will help you to attract visitors to your website without spending a fortune on advertising is providing a newsletter for your subscribers. Also commonly known as Ezines, regularly published newsletters provide many benefits for both you and for your subscribers. Two of the most obvious benefits for you are; (1) The results can be very financially rewarding and (2) The actual amount of time and effort that you will need to dedicate to the creation and delivery of your ezine can be made very minimal by comparison within today’s technology and, when done correctly.

Publishing your own newsletter/ezine will enable you to very easily and effectively inform your subscribers of new developments concerning your company as ...

7 IDEAS FOR NEWSLETTER CONTENT  by

 S McIntyre
4/19/2008 at 10:04
You have a very nice growing list of subscribers to your newsletter. Sometimes it’s hard to find new ideas to add or if you’re new at this, what type of content you want. If you display your newsletter for visitors to read, then your goal is keep them interested and eventually become subscribers and of course, you want to keep your subscribers subscribed.

Here are seven ideas for newsletter content.

1. Newsletters are great for informing and keeping your subscribers/readers up-to-date on current happenings or coming events. Make announcements about online workshops, web conferencing or new project ideas. For something extra, you may want to publish special holiday editions during the holiday season.

2. Ask the expert, a question and answer or poll section. This is a great way to generate feedback, encourage participation and readers’ interest.

3. Product or e-book reviews. This is a benefit for you. By doing product or e-book reviews, it’s a great way to increase sales. You know the saying; people will buy from people they know and trust. Offering something of value is always a win-win situation and of course you want the best for your subscribers.

4. Offer a freebie. Who doesn’t like freebies? It could be anything really. If they subscribe to your newsletter, you can give them a sneak preview by allowing them to download a chapter or two of your e-book. If they are interested, they can purchase the e-book at a discounted price. The sky’s the limit when it comes to freebies.

5. Profile subscribers. ...

MY TITLE ATE MY ARTICLE  by

 Ian RoeBuck
4/19/2008 at 10:03
Do you want your article read? How about seen in many sites on the world wide web? Then you must come up with really good eye catching titles that grab at people and tug them into reading your article.

A title that is just hanging out and uninteresting will not get read by very many people. And to make article marketing work you want to be read by many people.

Why would anyone try to post and article which has a title that does not reflect the content of the article? That is a mistake that would be costly, for instance an article on cake baking, entitled Rockets To The Moon. While you will need attention grabbing titles, the titles must reflect the content of the article itself.

If I have an article on deep sea diving and its dangers, an eye catching article might look something like this - The Day a Shark Ate My Dive.

You do not want your article to be deleted before it is ever read simply because your titled sucked. Suppose an article as excellent content, if the title is the same boring stuff, do really suppose most people are going to read it anyway?

People have only so much time and so they try to safe time by not reading anything that does not appear interesting to them. Make your title interesting.

The time you have to grab the attention of the reader is measured not in minutes but in single digit seconds. So t have a reader actually ...

WHY CONTENT IS KING!  by

 Lee Cole
4/19/2008 at 10:02
If you’ve followed all of the changes Google has tried to make over the past two or so years, you should realize the one inescapable conclusion: Content is King!

Once upon a time, you could use AdWords to send clicks directly to the merchant’s site. That’s the old Google Cash method. As a result, you had tons of ads all pointing to the same merchant sales page. From a user point of view, clicking on five different ads and seeing the same sales page was a pain in the neck. So, Google squelched that by making a new policy that only one ad can go to a certain URL.

Then you had thousands of MFA (made for AdSense) sites popping up. Those were mainly worthless lists of AdSense ads. Sure, some internet marketers were making a ton of money off of them, but for the rest of us, it was really vexing. Google stopped that, also with the infamous Google slap.

Recently, we’ve learned that Google is setting their sites on riding the cyber-world of what they call "thin affiliate sites". Those are sites that look like content sites, only the content doesn’t have any real value. The content is there only to get the page ranked so people visit and hopefully click on an affiliate link.

It looks like what Google is after is sites that offer real content.

And why not? Isn’t content why we all search the web?

If I wanted to learn more about PPC marketing, being sent to some worthless site ...

GETTING TO KNOW YOU - YOUR EZINE AT WORK  by

 Melissa Vokoun
4/19/2008 at 10:01
In the days when customers would walk through your door, the first thing an entrepreneur would do is introduce themselves. "Hi, I’m John, what can I do for you today?" A warm handshake, a smile, and the customer relationship was established. This relationship is something that any salesperson will tell you, is sacred. Without this relationship, business will not be done and little will be accomplished.

But in today’s global marketplace, how do we establish that sales relationship? The answer is to introduce yourself and establish that relationship through an online ezine.

The great thing about an online ezine is that the entrepreneur has total control over its content and can update it is as often as business requires. It is a way to make a connection with your customers and introduce yourself and your associates. Graphics and a banner can be your handshake and words can be your introduction.

An ezine is a great ezine when in contains all the information you would give any customer walking through your door. You can introduce your colleagues and give information about them such as, "Mary here is my resident gourmet. She is always sharing her great pasta dishes with us," and "Peter is a dog person. His dog Roger is a guest at all our company picnics."

Personalizing your ezine to include personal anecdotes about you and your associates creates a type of rapport that lets customers get to know you. It is that rapport that recreates the customer connection that your handshake used to ...

LEVERAGE YOUR BUSINESS WITH AN EZINE  by

 Karen Nierlich
3/12/2008 at 08:11
What the heck is an eZine? Experts disagree on who came up with the name, but the term eZine comes from the words "electronic magazine." I tend to think of them as email newsletters that come to your email box.

If you are running an online business...meaning that you market and sell to people online...then the main purpose of your website should be to have people sign up for your newsletter.

Why is an eZine so essential? Oh. Let me count the ways.

1. eZine Articles = Keeping In Touch/ Establishing You As an Expert

An eZine is key to online success because it’s so rare for people to buy after seeing your marketing materials just once. Web visitors will probably only look a your site once, but most people look at their email every day...and having a message from you appearing in their inbox is a great way to remind them about your business.

When people sign up for your eZine, you have permission to send them information from you monthly, weekly, or even daily! (Of course, tell them how much contact they should expect right from the start...and stick to your word.) People get to know you, trust you, and remember you...thereby increasing the likelihood that they will call you when they need your service.

Even if you aren’t running an online business, an eZine can help. Any kind of business, from wine shops to realtors to insurance agents - even those without a product or service that is sold online - can benefit ...

NETWORKING IS AN EXPENSIVE WASTE OF TIME  by

 Angela Den Hollander
3/12/2008 at 08:10
I’ve been an avid networker for about 5 years now and I have to say, I’ve both loved and hated it. I’ve loved it for the great speakers I’ve heard, the fabulous people I’ve met and the growth it’s brought to my business but... I’ve hated the early starts, the evenings away from my family, the work it creates afterwards in the follow up and the unpredictable nature of the activity. You just don’t know whether any one event will be worth the time and cost of attending.

Then I discovered the one simple activity that changed my networking process, more than doubled my client base and meant that I only needed to attend half the amount of networking functions. Imagine that, sleeping in instead of going to BNI, evenings home with my family rather than making small talk with a stranger.

I think that the best way to illustrate how networking, when it’s not done properly, can be an expensive waste of time, is with a story. Let’s take the story of Jane -

Jane is a great accountant, she’s just given up working in a large company in order to start her own business, and as with many business owners, she needs to get clients - fast. So she starts attending networking functions.

Let’s look at the cost of acquiring a client through networking alone:

Average cost of function $75

Cost of time and yes, you must factor your time into the equation, any time you spend on activities for your business is time ...

HOW CAN AN EZINE HELP YOUR BUSINESS?  by

 Sameep Shah
3/12/2008 at 08:09
Ezine is an electronic newsletter. It is one of the best ways to get maximum traffic to your web site for marketing a particular service or a product. It is kind of similar to the traditional newsletter with only one exception that it is send via e-mail. Sometimes the newsletter is made available on the publisher’s website too. Many people sign up for popular Ezines giving paid services or for free. Typically ezines are published weekly but they could be monthly, bi-monthly, or daily as well. Good Ezines are read by the authentic people and it could create more traffic for your website.

Ezine is a newsletter that you can send via e-mail. What makes the Ezine newsletter different from advertising is that the Ezine is about educating and not about selling. The topics could range from anything purely simple to sublime and could be very loosely related to business. While talking about online business, it could be affiliate programs or some other businesses. Through internet technologies, one can sell services and products too.

The newsletters, email marketing and sales letter are important tools for communication. The newsletters marketing could be used for promoting ones business, educating people and prospects, adding rich and new content, communication, getting income from the advertisements and more. It is necessary to make your website attractive to grab attention of the viewers. There are thousands of websites online to choose. If you do not like your website, how can you except that person to visit it the ...

WHY YOU SHOULD DEVELOP A NEWSLETTER  by

 Robert Abrom
3/12/2008 at 08:09
Getting information out to customers and keeping them informed is an important key to retaining their business. The power of information in the marketplace also helps you gain new customers, or convert those who are sitting on the fence trying to decide whether to purchase your product or not.

Implementing a newsletter can have a significant impact on your profits. You build customer loyalty by keeping them apprised of new products or new services. You can use the newsletter to advertise sales. You can also use a newsletter for marketing purposes.

The Newsletter as a Marketing Tool

There are several things you may accomplish when using a newsletter as a marketing tool. First, you have a means of distributing product information on a wide scale basis, sending your message out to thousands, if not millions, of customers and potential customers. This is a fantastic way for you to keep people informed of new products without breaking the bank on advertising costs.

The newsletter is also a terrific way to gain new clients. When you have a place on your website for customers to sign up to receive your newsletter, they feel like they are being given something of value for free. This promotes goodwill among your potential clients. And since your potential new customer must provide his e-mail address in order to receive your newsletter, this is an easy way to grow your list. You can then market new products to your newsletter recipients. Businesses have used this technique to build their lists into ...

USING EZINES TO PROMOTE YOUR WEBSITE  by

 Nina Greene
1/20/2008 at 12:35
An ezine is essentially an internet magazine or newsletter. Ezines already have a huge subscriber list of targeted people that you can send your message to. These are subscribers that have requested that the ezine be e-mailed to them so they are highly targeted. Ezine advertising is an effective method of driving targeted traffic to your website and increasing your sales. This form of website promotion is something that many beginners either do not know about or just overlook.

Even if you are not a beginner, if you are not getting the sales results you are wanting with your current website promotion methods, then ezine advertising is for you. This strategy is commonly used by successful internet marketers everyday. In fact, some website owners use this method exclusively with great results so it’s potential cannot be underestimated.

To find advertising opportunities do a search for ezines that are directly related to your niche market. A search for "ezine advertising" will return thousands of different ezines. There are plenty of ezine directories and search tools available so you will have no trouble finding any. When you have done this, target the popular ones that have a large subscriber list.

A subscriber list of at least over 1000 or higher is best. You want your ad exposed to as many people as possible. Choose a few ezines that are within your budget. Choose the SOLO AD option. Ezines offer different types of advertising opportunities but the SOLO AD is the best because you get to ...

START AN EZINE!  by

 Evelyn Bennett
1/20/2008 at 12:34
An ezine is an online magazine.

If you look in supermarkets and corner shops you will see lots of magazines on many varied subjects from computer gaming to health foods and fashion to photography - there are lots of subjects out there that people, both men and women are interested in. Most, if not all, of these magazines have a subscription option where you can pay for a whole years worth of magazines and have them mailed to you. Most of these magazines do not just have information on the topic in question but also show advertisements for other similar themed magazines. However, they all contain information on that particular subject that they are geared towards. Some of them also have free gifts attached to them each month as a temptation for people to buy, such as demo computer games for you to try out.

All of these ideas have now come to the Internet and ezines are very popular - even the ’real’ magazines are being put onto the web for people to read online.

The point I am making is this - if you were to set up an ezine on a particular subject, you could fill it with articles that you have written and affiliating with others and putting their ads in your Ezine would also give you a chance of an income. Rather like a membership site, your customers would have to pay for the ezine either on a monthly basis or a yearly subscription. By having a free ...

THE ONE WORD YOU MUST KNOW THAT PUTS THE MONEY IN YOUR LIST  by

 M Avis
1/20/2008 at 12:34
There are a lot of books, reports, websites and courses devoted to teaching how to build a list. Quite right too - list building is one of the most important skills an Internet marketer can learn. But here’s the thing...barely one in a hundred people who bother to collect more than two emails together in an autoresponder have the first idea of what to do with them.

List building is only the beginning of a process that can bring you in a fortune, or can leave you frustrated and convinced that all Internet marketing is a waste of time. This article is the first in a short series that gives my take on how to make sure the old saying ’the money is in the list’ applies to you and your list.

What makes me so qualified to tell you my ideas?

I’ve been publishing my ezine for over 845 issues at the time of writing, and it is amazingly responsive. Indeed, I make a good full-time living by writing to my little list of 5000 or so keen readers.

The secret to having a responsive, profitable list can be summed up in one word: PROSE.

Wikipedia defines prose like this: "Prose is writing distinguished from poetry by its greater variety of rhythm and its closer resemblance to the patterns of everyday speech. The word prose comes from the Latin prosa, meaning straightforward."

It is a good definition, but writing an ezine or newsletter is concerned, it isn’t quite specific enough. I ...

EZINES CAN STILL PACK A PUNCH  by

 Scott Lindsay
1/20/2008 at 12:31
In the 1980’s many newspapers were developing their copy using a cut and paste technique. Obviously this was an improvement over typeset, but still time consuming. As desktop publishing came to prominence newspapers began to be developed on a computer and sent electronically to have a film made of the copy for print.

Darkrooms were replaced as digital cameras gained wide acceptance. Now virtually all the functions of a newspaper (except for some of the interviews and photos) can be accomplished while sitting in front of a computer.

This change in function also allowed thousands of home-based publishing businesses to develop using the same software and contracting with the local or regional newspaper to print their publication.

In this story of falling dominos some home-based publishers opted for either an online ezine that operated in tandem with the print version or in other cases it was established in place of a print edition.

These early endeavors into online print helped establish the marketing form of ezine publications. These online electronic magazines generally provide a topic specific magazine that draws from multiple sources to complete a publication that can be of great interest to a niche market.

This method of marketing draws on list building activities as well as trust marketing. Beyond getting individuals to visit the business site ezines are also designed to be so informative that visitors find a growing sense of trust in the information and products that you supply.

Ezines can be archived and indexed for easy referral when new members sign up. ...
