When you are losing weight fast, almost all the weight that you will lose will be water weight. This weight will rapidly reappear when you resume your normal diet. Many women because of mere desperation decide to start with a strict diet after pregnancy, they are convinced that the strict diets are good for losing weight after pregnancy. This is not true. If you decide to do this you need to be aware that it will have some sever consequences upon your health. And just as an FYI, you need to make sure you don’t diet at all while you are breastfeeding, you can only start after words.

As a side note: The other thing that you need to keep in mind is that your diet will directly effect your baby. When you are breastfeeding, you have an unbreakable bond with your baby. Whatever you eat, affects your baby’s health. Therefore, when you are depriving yourself on some serious vitamins you are actually doing the same thing to your baby. Moreover, maybe your organism is strong and old enough to fight on its own, but your baby’s health is extremely fragile and still depended on you to protect it.

After giving birth your body will feel exhausted simply because it is. You will need plenty of rest to regain the energy that you need. In order to achieve this, your body will need food, since it is the only source of energy. Usually these strict diets include a kind of starvation mode, or they simply exclude on certain type of food. None of these options will have positive effects on your worn out body.

THE CABBAGE SOUP RECIPE AND DIET  by

The Cabbage Soup Diet is a diet designed for fast weight loss, if you need to take off 10 pounds quickly for a special occasion. This diet lasts for 7 days and losing the 10 pounds can be done if you stick to the diet.

The soup is actually nutritious and very palatable, and you should lose right around 10 pounds in the 7 day period.

The cabbage soup is only part of what you are allowed to eat. For each of the 7 days you are allowed to eat specific foods.

Here is the recipe. You can add spices and other vegetables to suit your taste.

• 6 Large green onions or 3 medium white onions

• 2 Green peppers

• 1 Large can of tomatoes (diced or whole)

• 3 Carrots

• 1 Container (10 oz. or so) Mushrooms

• 1 Bunch of celery

• One-half head of cabbage (or more to taste)

• 1 Package onion soup mix (you can use any soup mix you’d like)

• 3 Bouillon cubes - vegetable, chicken or beef

• 1 48 Ounce can of V8 juice (optional)

• 4 Cups of water

• Season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc.

Place washed and chopped vegetables in large stockpot. Add V8 juice and water, and stir in soup mix, bouillon and tomatoes. Add water to fully cover all the vegetables. Simmer until vegetables are soft.

What is a low carb diet?

A low carb diet is a style of eating where carbohydrate intake is severely restricted. Proteins and, to some extent, fats are unlimited. Experts say that when your body is deprived of carbohydrates, it will begin to burn fat for its energy, putting your body into ketosis.

The Atkins Diet is probably the most famous low carb diet, but there are others as well--Protein Power, The Carbohydrate Addict’s Diet, and Stillman’s Diet, among others.
