WHAT YOUR RINGTONE SAYS ABOUT YOU  by

 Jimmy Warren
9/22/2008 at 14:10
The cell phones that you see today are more often than not a cell phone as a side feature to what else they can do. If your cell phone is not an mp3 player, play videos and take pictures along with receiving and sending phone calls, you just don’t have the latest and greatest cell phone.

Most folks pick one of the default ringers that come with their phone or just leave the thing on vibrate. But increasingly, users are paying a premium--usually a buck or two a pop--to download custom songs, jingles and sound effects, turning their mobile phone into a pocket jukebox.

The same kind of progression has happened to cell phones as well. It used to be that a ringtone was a way to let the user know that they had an incoming phone call. Today’s ringtones are now a statement of the fashion sense or trendiness of the user.

The ringtones that you are hearing today have become the latest designer trend to hit the market. Just like the trendy handbags and shoes, the ringtone that you have on your cell phone is a statement of your taste and style. Just as the clothes that you choose to wear are a display of your style, so are the ringtones that you choose to use on your cell phone.

There has been a huge explosion in the market for newer and more exciting ringtones. Everyone is trying to have the latest in ringtones and will constantly download new ones to show ...

There is seemingly no limit to the number of mysterious calls that one can encounter on a weekly basis. While sometimes you might only receive calls from well known friends and family, at other times it seems like every number on your caller ID is one that is strange and foreign to you. And while mysterious calls might not always be something to worry about, there is no questioning that some of the people who might be calling your phone are not people you want to be talking to. Luckily, you no longer have to worry about mysterious calls, thanks to online utilities like free cell phone tracers.

Free cell phone tracers are a new kind of special search engine that focuses on phone owner information. If there is a phone number that you would like to learn more about, a free cell phone tracer is a great place to start any kind of phone research. Within seconds, you will know the city and state that the phone number is registered in, as well as whether that number comes from a cell phone or land line. If this satisfies your curiosity, then you have already found everything you need.

And if you would like to learn more, the free cell phone tracer can also help you in that department. Unfortunately, cell phone owner records are not public information, so accessing this information does mean incurring a small fee. ...

CELL PHONE NUMBERS REVEALED   by

 George Wischler
9/22/2008 at 14:07
Once upon a time, a telephone was born in the house of a great inventor. This device changed the world, allowing people everywhere to converse with one another at any time regardless how far apart they actually were. People found each other with paper books published through phone companies, usually searching by name.

Then one day a new phone was born. Being of the computer era, this phone enabled instantaneous exchange of vast amounts of information, including conversation. It was free in that it could allow us to travel anywhere while still being accessible to others. However, within the confines of this new phone’s data circuits were a dark secret: every piece of information from every second of its user’s life was tracked and saved in a way that could be searched by anyone with access. The companies which bore this phone knew this, and tried to minimize their risk by creating ’privacy regulations’, a set of common standards by which they would all agree to keep the personal information of cell phone users quiet.

But one day, a shadowy stranger found a way to infiltrate the data networks. He was able to find numbers and call them at random. Soon his methods spread to unscrupulous telemarketers, pranksters, harassers, and evil-doers everywhere. It wasn’t long before cellular people began suffering from ’Mad Phone Disease’ - interrupted daily by a never ending barrage of annoying, ambiguously caller ID-named phone calls.

But with all things, there is a great balance. And soon heroes appeared to ...

You sure might have sat there looking at it for a while, gazing at this sleek piece of technological wonder and its high-tech novelty with awe and admiration Groovy! You take it in your hands, feel the smooth material, switch it on, and hold it with pride and great enthusiasm.

Up till now, it has managed to hold your attention and make you feel good about owning it. You show it off to all your relatives and even the next-door neighbor. NOKIA’S DOMINANCE CONTINUES WITH THE N96  by

 Mark Hirst
3/9/2008 at 02:36
When it come to mobile phones, who is better at producing them than Nokia? The N9 has sold over 7 million units to date and sales are going as steadily today as they were 6 months ago. It seems that Nokia can do no wrong in the eyes of mobile phone consumers. With the release of the Nokia N96 later this year, we think that their market share will only grow throughout 2008 if it continues to release such incredible handsets.

Let’s take a closer look at the N96 and break down its features to analyse. The N96 comes complete with an internal storage capacity of 16GB. This makes it Nokia’s largest storage device and what’s more this can be increased via the micro SD slot that can take a memory card with an additional 8GB of storage. This is enough to store up to 60 hours of video footage. Plenty for a long journey, the question is will the battery hold up? Nokia has had a problem with battery longevity in the past, but seems to be working hard to correct this.

The N96 will playback a range of video formats, including MPEG-4, Windows Media Format and Flash Video. This means viewing video on file sharing sites such as youtube will not be an issue. You can simply click and watch. The large 2.8 inch screen is also a big bonus. It makes surfing the internet and watching footage much easier on the eyes. The camera remains pretty much unchanged from ...

WILL THE NOKIA N96 SELL 7 MILLION UNITS?  by

 Mark Hirst
3/9/2008 at 02:35
Now how about a mobile phone device that has a built in TV tuner and 16 GB of internal memory? This is what you get if you purchase a Nokia N96, available to purchase in quarter 3 of 2008. Nokia looks set to dominate the mobile phone market for another year as it takes advantages of economies of scale, producing great handsets that undercut its competitors on price and style.

The Nokia N96 is the only phone (at the time of writing) to come with a digital tuner inbuilt. This is a remarkable step forward in the world of mobile phone handsets and we think that it is a good one considering most people want to watch TV when they are on the bus or train. It is has been warmly received by gadget lovers all over the world and could be more popular than the iphone when it is finally released later this year.

The Nokia N96 will come with a 5 megapixel camera. We are slightly disappointed with this as there is no improvement on the original Nokia N95in this respect. The film capture rate of 30 frames per second should help to improve the video quality however. Nokia claim that it will be DVD like video quality, but this remains to be seen, we are forever hopeful though.

If music is your thing in a mobile phone then you will be glad to hear that the N96 will have a separate 3.5mm jack so that you can insert your own ...

NOKIA N96 PICKING UP WHERE THE N95 LEFT OFF  by

 Mark Hirst
3/9/2008 at 02:34
With the Nokia N96 you are getting a portable multimedia centre rather than just a mobile phone. The Nokia N96 looks to continue the hard work done by the N95 and we think it will do just that. The Nokia N95 has sold over 7 million units to date; can the N96 sell more than 7 million? We think that the answer will be yes. You will have to wait for a while however as it is not due to be released until quarter 3 of 2008.

The Nokia N96 has a built in TV tuner, that will offer digital pictures wherever you are. Sadly this aspect looks unlikely to d=feature in the UK, but our EU compatriots will benefit from this rather remarkable feature. Boy are we excited about this. The storage of the device stands at an impressive 16GB of internal storage, a capacity that can be extended to 24GB with the use of a Micro SD card. This will allow the user to watch up to 60 hours of digital video, a staggering performance from such a small mobile phone.

The connectivity surrounding the N96 is where the mobile phone really stands out. It is HSDPA enabled, meaning that you can download music tracks in a little over 30 seconds. When you are not connected via HSDPA you can connect to your WLAN network meaning you don’t have to pay expensive data charges. Refreshingly the Nokia N96 will come equipped with USB 2.0 connectivity, making data transfer between phone ...
