 Walt Johnson
9/21/2008 at 13:39
We all know that having content is key. The content must be targeted around your keyword. Write an article between 300 and 400 words much like if you submitting it to a regular article directory. Apply the same standards that the directory would adhere to. Its very easy to write a sales pitch and post it up on your blog. But is this what you want to see if your searching for a particular item? A sales pitch? No you want answers or tips or reviews..information! Not a sales pitch.

OK so we have content. Here are a couple of things that my help SEO your Post.

1. Ensure the keyword your targeting is in the Title of your post.

2. (kinda of a recap) But re-read your article and make sure you have keyword density.

3. Make sure you have only one link back to your domain. Too many might seem spammy.

4. Add your post to a category based on the keyword or phrase.

5. Add meta tags to your post.

6. Add the keyword into the url of your post

Backlinks

Wikipedia -Backlinks (or back-links (UK)) are incoming links to a website or web page. In the search engine optimization (SEO) world, the number of backlinks is one indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page (though other measures, such as PageRank, are likely to be more important). Outside of SEO, the backlinks of a webpage may be of significant personal, cultural or semantic interest: they indicate who is paying attention to that ...

DRIVE TRAFFIC TO YOUR BUSINESS BLOG IN SEVEN EASY STEPS  by

 Jennifer Williamson
3/11/2008 at 19:20
Blogging for business can be both fun and profitable-but not if nobody’s reading. Here are seven steps to generating traffic for your business blog.

Submit to blog directories. Submitting your blog to blog directories won’t always drive a huge amount of traffic, but it will get links out there-and these can help your search engine rankings. In addition, some directories are more like blogging social networks, with active members who are seeking to make connections with other bloggers. Memberships in these sites can be useful for any blogger.

Read and comment on other blogs. One of the best ways for a beginning blogger to get noticed is by leaving comments on other blogs. Many blogs allow you to leave a link to your own blog automatically during your sign-in process, so avoid leaving another link in your comments-it looks promotional. Make your comments insightful-think of them as tiny "teasers" for the type of writing you do on your blog-and avoid commenting on blogs that are outside your niche.

Write articles that link to your blog. You can generate traffic by writing articles for article directories that link back to your blog. Some of the larger article directories have decent search engine placement, so your articles will be more likely to come up in search engine results-especially in the beginning-than articles on your blog.

Comment on forums and link to your blog in the signature. Find a few well-attended forums that cater to the market you’re writing for. Join and write a signature that includes ...

BLOG MARKETING - WANT TO MAKE MORE MONEY?  by

 Elle N. Dee
3/11/2008 at 19:20
Blog marketing is a new concept to many people in the blogging community. For whatever reason, it has not occurred to them that they can earn an income from their blog. How much can you earn? Well the answer to that really depends on you. The harder you work at Blog Marketing--the more time you devote to it-- the better your chance at making your blog more and more profitable. It is simply a matter of promoting your blog vigorously and attracting as many readers as possible.

There are a few free tools and proven techniques out there which can be employed to market your blog to the web. The majority of the blogs on the internet have their comment section enabled. Even if they moderate it, you still have the opportunity to post a comment as long as you are offering quality content and are not just blatantly spamming to get your link included. Backlinks eventually attract more readers and are advantageous to your Google rankings. Something you should be aware of is that many blogs have the Do Not Follow command active---but this should not dissuade you from making your comments.

Remember, your comments are going to be high quality and add valuable content to the blog you are visiting, right? Well, that quality and valuable information will eventually ensnare your reader. So much so, that their curiosity will force them to make the extra effort to type your link address in their browser. If your comments are good enough, ...

IMPROVE YOUR BLOG  by

 Medo Sabo
3/11/2008 at 18:22
Building an audience for your blog takes consistency and hard work. Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to help speed up the process of gaining new readers and ranking well in the search engines.

1. Build Relationships

Your number one priority as a blogger is to build relationships with your readers, other bloggers and other online communities in your niche. Direct interaction with your readers through the comment section goes a long way. But why not also set up open threads that are designed to make your blog more interactive? Ask questions to your readers. Don’t be afraid to ask advice from your readers.

To communicate with other bloggers, post in their comment section or even send them some great news tips. They’ll love you for it, and most likely pay a visit to your blog.

To communicate with other online communities, track down as many popular forums and blogs related to your blog topic as you can. Make positive contributions to the community and the community will pay you back with either some linklove or some site visits.

2. Build Content

You really need a steady stream of content to build a thriving blog. Aim for a post at least every two days. Feel free to take a break on the weekends and save your energy for the week when you’ll get more bang for your buck. If you post multiple times per day (highly recommended) then try spreading them out so that your readers will know to come back for more.

Running ...

TIPS FOR EFFECTIVE AFFILIATE MARKETING WITH BLOGS  by

 Dave Cooper
3/11/2008 at 18:22
If you’re like many affiliate marketers, you’ve decided to use a blog to help promote the affiliate products and programs you’ve chosen. Using blogs is a very effective way to promote affiliate programs, because they’re excellent sources for getting traffic and links from other websites.

Since blogs are updated frequently, search engines also tend to love them. And other, more static websites will often syndicate content from good blogs on their sites, and this can give your blog even more exposure with additional links and traffic. When used well, blogs can be a very effective affiliate marketing tool. And here are some tips to increase the effectiveness of your own affiliate marketing efforts using blogs.

1. Post frequently to your blog. The more often a blog is updated, the more interest search engines will take, and the more traffic you will get. Since blogs "alert" various other sites and services when updates are made, each time you post you are essentially announcing to the web that you have new content on your website. So don’t over do things by spamming with hundreds of nonsense posts every day, but do set a regular update schedule and stick to it. Even updating just a few times each week can really make a big difference in your traffic levels after just a month or two.

2. Stay on topic. When you create a blog for the purpose of getting affiliate sales, it’s very important to keep your blog focused on the topic at hand. It’s a ...

MAKE MONEY FROM BLOGGING - THREE STEPS FROM BEGINNER TO PRO  by

 Angela Booth
3/11/2008 at 18:21
Even if you’re completely new to the concept of blogs, you can make money blogging. This is because blogging has now gone mainstream. Every business which has a Web site either has a blog too, or feels guilty because they don’t. So bloggers are in high demand.

Not only are bloggers in high demand, experienced bloggers are very busy. They’re reluctant to take on new clients, and when they do, they charge like wounded rhino for their blogging skills. This means that even as a total newbie, you can get hired.

Let’s look at three steps which will take you from blogging beginner to blogging professional. (By "professional" I mean someone who gets hired to blog.)

1. Think about your skills and interests and make a list

Make a list of your skills. Even if you’re a college student, you have skills. If you’re a retiree, you have a lifetime of skills.

Also, list subjects you know well enough to write about.

Although blogs can be about anything at all, the companies which hire you operate in a particular industry. The more you know about the area in which a company operates, the greater the chance they will hire you to blog for them.

Chances are your most marketable skills stem from your working life.

For example, if you’re a nurse, you have lots of skills in health topics. If you work for a realtor, you’re golden - you know the property market, and can blog about it.

Once you’ve made a list, choose a topic. You could choose: ...
