THE IMPORTANCE OF AUTO-RESPONDERS FOR YOUR HOSTING ACCOUNT  by

 Bob Willis
9/21/2008 at 11:20
Auto-responders are essentially scripts that run on your web server 24/7. They facilitate instant email responses to queries, sales and support. Consider this as adding a customer support component to your website. So imagine that if a customer purchases something worth $100 from your website and they do not any receipt or confirmation email of their purchase in the next 12 hours, this would detract from the company’s image and eventually result in loss of sales. What if a customer visits your website and requires some pre-sales information or has a product or service query to be resolved. If they do not receive a response in the next 24 hours, chances are that your competitor will grab your customer and you end losing your credibility and reliability in the market.

This is where the role of auto-responders comes into play. Auto-responders minimize the possibility of lost sales as the follow up messages are carefully scripted and based on the incoming queries your pre-sales information can be safely and securely delivered without any kind of delays.

There are many types of Auto-Responders offered by companies and few of them are even offered free of cost. Web hosting accounts come equipped with control panels from where the user can set up auto-responders, free of cost and also wield complete control over the availability and synchronization of their website. With the use of unlimited auto-responders, the Webmaster can schedule many different emails for category-specific customers.

On time delivery of requested information or services is imperative to ...

THREE TYPES OF AUTORESPONDERS AND WHY YOU NEED ONE  by

 Bob Storrs
9/21/2008 at 11:19
Once you have your web site set with a form that allows visitors to subscribe to your list you’re going to need an autoresponder to manage your subscriber list.

So exactly what is an autoresponder and why do you need one?

An autoresponder is software that will manage your subscriber list and send out emails to your list at certain intervals that you determine. You can think of it as an automated secretary that handles your correspondence 24/7 and doesn’t take a vacation.

If you didn’t have an autoresponder you would have to handle all of your email correspondence manually. Can you imagine how time consuming it would be if you had to send out even a hundred emails one at a time? It would take the better part of the day and leave little time for anything else. If your list were just a few hundred subscribers it would be impossible to handle it manually.

There are three types of autoresponders available that you can use to manage your list.
The first is the personally hosted autoresponder which operates on your own computer.
Already you can see the problem with this. Your computer must run 24/7 and if it is down for any reason your autoresponder doesn’t work. Two other considerations are 1) If you’re sending out more than 10000 emails a day your internet service provider (ISP) might not like it and they may ask you to stop or possibly terminate your account. 2) If you receive a few inevitable SPAM complaints they may ...

AUTORESPONDERS - HOW TO SUCCEED  by

 Peter Radford
9/21/2008 at 11:19
An auto-responder is a computer programme, which itself provides instructions for the computer, that when it receives e-mails, which is an electronic form of mail, from an external source it automatically sends a reply.

A piece of software, driven by a computer program that sends email messages from one computer to another, is called a mail transfer agent.

Auto-responders were originally created to overcome the problem of a mail transfer agent not being able to deliver an e-mail to a particular address. When this happens, a bounced message, which relates to an automated e-mail message from a mail system informing the sender that the message cannot be delivered, such as "your e-mail could not be delivered because ......" is created.

It is important that an auto-responder does not generate e-mail backscatter, which is a side-effect of e-mail spam, viruses and worms in which e-mail servers receiving spam and other mail, send bounced messages to an innocent third party. Should this happen, the auto-responses may themselves be regarded as e-mail spam which, also known as junk-mail, refers to the sending of almost identical e-mail messages to a wide variety of recipients.

Auto-responders represent important e-mail marketing tools in that they can efficiently and effectively provide specific information to their prospective customers, and then follow-up with additional messages, at specific time intervals, which can easily be altered to suit the requirements of the sender.

Types

There are two types of auto-responder which possess the facility of sending a series of follow-up messages:

Outsourced ASP models - This type of ...

AUTORESPONDERS - WHAT ARE THEY AND HOW TO USE THEM  by

 Sandra Martini
9/21/2008 at 11:18
Many business owners are confused about what exactly an autoresponder is. . .and what it isn’t.

An autoresponder is a piece of software -- either standalone or as part of something larger like a shopping cart -- which AUTOMATICALLY sends an email, or a sequence of emails when triggered.

"Triggered" in this case, means:

• someone purchases a product or service online
• someone sends an email to a specific address
• someone fills out a "name and email" form online and signs up for a newsletter, a teleseminar, etc.
• someone contacts you to learn more about your business

Once triggered, the autoresponder system sends out the email sequence as it was set up. For example:

If you go on vacation, you can tell your email system to state "I’m currently out of the office until X and will respond when I return." -- whether you realize it or not, this is a simple autoresponder. It is automatically sent to people who email you while you’re on vacation.

A more complex, but just as simple to set up, autoresponder, may look like this:

Today: Client purchases your latest ebook and within minutes receives two emails: one from your shopping cart with a receipt for their payment (this autoresponder goes out without you having to set it up as a feature of most shopping carts) and a second from your autoresponder (which you created) thanking them for their purchase and providing the link where they can download the ebook.

2 days from today: Client automatically receives an email asking if they ...

CREATE INTERNET BUSINESS SUCCESS USING AN AUTO-RESPONDER  by

 Pasi Kaarakainen

If you are starting an internet business, you really should set up an auto-responder. This tool gives you an opportunity to reach thousands of people in a matter of minutes. An auto-responder is a tool which all successful internet entrepreneurs have. If you want to make your internet business as successful as possible you really should have this tool too.

One of the best things about having this tool is that you can stay in touch with previous customers. Forgetting your earlier customers just gives them a reason to turn to your competitor. Make sure that your customers know that they mean a lot to you. This is very crucial to your internet business.

In addition to being able to stay in touch with them, you have also an opportunity inform them of new products and specials you may be running. You want to give previous customers every benefit you can. Chances are if they have purchased from you before they will be willing to look at the new products and specials you are running right now.

Aside from contacting previous customers, having an auto-responder can be a great way to send out multiple messages. There has been a saying that in order to get a prospect to buy, they have to see your message several times. The first time they may completely overlook the message or just browse through it. Each time you send the message they will be more inclined to read what you have to say.

It can be quite time ...

RECRUIT SOME SECRET AGENTS TO BUILD YOUR BUSINESS!  by

 Stephen R. Beck

Imagine the perfect business with me...

A visitor comes to your site and the first thing she sees is an invitation to your newsletter. Now, she may not want another newsletter in her inbox at this point, but as she reads, she is intrigued.

"Hey, this guy thinks the way I do! This guy actually makes sense. I think I will subscribe to his newsletter and see what he has to say."

Autoresponder #1 has done his job.

(This is called a contact management online autoresponder, but don’t let the big name scare you!)

Then your visitor clicks on one of your product reviews. She reads the good, the bad and the ugly of the product you are reviewing. She sees the value of the product and appreciates the candidness of the "things you would change" and decides to buy the product.

Of course, you have added a bonus to the product and she gets that in her email box immediately after she has purchased the product.

Autoresponder #2 has done his job.

About 7 days later, your customer gets an email asking her how she is enjoying the product. Did she find it helpful? Did it fulfill her expectations? Was it worth the price she paid? Then, the email asks her for a short testimony that you can share with others on your product web page. She emails her testimony.

Autoresponder #3 has done his job.

Each week your customer gets another email helping them with the product and explaining things the product can do. The emails also give ...

AUTO-RESPONDERS - CAN YOUR ONLINE BUSINESS SURVIVE WITHOUT THEM?  by

 Godfrey Thaxter
6/5/2008 at 10:02
Auto-responders is probably the most important element of your online business. They are like the staff that never sleep. Set them up, forget them and they continue to work tirelessly 24/7/365. Have you ever thought of what your online business would be like without auto-responders?

Think about this for a moment. You have five websites, getting tons of traffic daily and from them you’re running maybe 10 different campaigns. You’re running ads for different markets, work-at-home-moms, single parents, college kids, your email marketing course, your free reports, your newsletter etc. You need to respond quickly to your subscribers and to provide quality information for each campaign that you’re running.

Now without an auto-responder setup how would you be able to handle all that without a staff to assist you? The above scenario is pretty basic, but the amount of work involved would take a lot of hours and would probably be close to impossible to accomplish daily. Right?

Now think about a business with 50 or 100 websites getting hundreds of thousands of targeted traffic daily with much more complex duties to perform. Wow! can you picture an online business without auto-responders?

We live in a fast pace world where we want answers immediately. Communication rely heavily on emails. Its fast, has no boundaries and can be sent to 1,000,000 recipients all over the world at the click of a mouse. But how do we control and manage the volume of responses?

Auto-responders of course. An Auto-responder is a software program that is programmed to ...

AUTORESPONDER PREVIEWS FOR YOUR POTENTIAL CLIENTS  by

 Roy Chan
4/19/2008 at 10:13
The first step in successfully marketing any product is that of building interest and excitement for potential clients.

Autoresponders are an essential business tool in building excitement and interest. For example, to build interest in a product or service, tell them what it will do and how soon it is available to them. If you are writing an ebook, let the visitors and potential opt in subscribers know about it on your website.

However, you can do more than build their interest by telling them about it, you can also use an autoresponder to allow them a preview of your product. Previews are great business tools, which allow your potential client, just a small taste of what is in store for them. It is the same concept as watching those previews of a movie coming soon to a theater near you. It works!

All you have to do is load one chapter from an ebook into the autoresponder then place an opt in form on your website. Visitors who are interested will enter their name and email address to receive their free chapter preview. This builds your list of potential customers. Once a week, send them a reminder email, giving them the release date as well as information of what they can expect from your product. This keeps building the excitement and interest of the product.

A couple of days before you launch your product offer a pre-release copy for sale, to those who received the preview. You can decide if you would like ...

AUTO RESPONDERS - THE TOOL OF THE ONLINE MARKETING PROFESSIONAL  by

 Steven Lanier
4/19/2008 at 10:12
If you are not using sequential auto responders in your online business you are losing money. It is really as simple as that. A high quality auto responder will automate many parts of the online marketing process in addition to saving you a lot of time marketing and promoting your product or service. Literally every top marketer in the world utilizes auto responders in their online business and if you are seeking to make any real money in your business, you should probably look into using them as well.

A sequential auto responder will automatically send emails to anyone on your list. These emails can be preloaded with whatever marketing letters you may have and you can set the timing on the auto responders to send out the messages in a certain interval. For example, an auto responder may send out an immediately message on opt-in promoting a particular product or service. Then 2 days later the auto responder may send out a follow up messages with more information and again asking for the sale. As you can see, this marketing tool can be extremely powerful.

Some top marketers have their auto responders set to follow up with a prospect with not just a couple of messages, but to follow up for years. It’s based on the mentality of ’either buy or opt out,’ and this marketing technique is extremely powerful and can lead to many sales. ’Either buy or opt-out’ is used on a daily basis by top internet marketers.

Another thing ...

OUT OF OFFICE? DON’T ADVERTISE IT  by

 Leo Notenboom
4/19/2008 at 10:12
Out of office replies, often termed "OOF" for Out Of Facility or "vacation auto-responders" are those automated replies to email when the recipient is away for some period of time. The returned message typically states that a) they’re away from their office/home/whatever and won’t be checking email, b) the dates for which that will be the case, and hopefully c) an alternate point of contact for the duration of their absence.

It seems like such a good idea. It can even be quite helpful if you’re attempting to contact that person while they’re away.

Unfortunately the problems with out of office replies have come to far outweigh the benefits.

MORE SPAM: You will get more spam if you set up an automated response. Automated replies validate that your email address is real. Spammers can note this, making your email address that much more valuable for spamming in the future.

LESS SECURITY: You’ve just advertised that your office, your computer and perhaps even your home might well be unoccupied for the duration of your absence. Anyone mailing you will find out that theft and burglary might well be significantly easier while you’re gone.

EVEN LESS SECURITY: in a business setting it might well be doubly dangerous to send out of office messages outside the company revealing some of the companies inner workings. It might even be against corporate policy.

MORE NOISE: Depending on your mailer, your out of office message might get sent for every message you receive. If you’re on a mailing list, or if someone ...

IMPORTANCE OF AUTO RESPONDERS  by

 Tristan G Bull
4/19/2008 at 10:11
When someone first starts out in Internet Marketing the first few basic steps should be to create a product and then create a website promoting that product. An alternative to that is to promote affiliate products, which just means promoting someone else’s product in exchange for a commission. A very important part of any successful Internet business is their auto-responder series. Which is a group of pre-made email messages that are sent to people who chose to sign up to your opt-in form.

That is the next objective after we have our website created and we know what products we’re going to promote. Some people would think now it’s time to start driving or buying traffic to bring our customers to our site. Well you are going to need traffic this is true, but this is not the first thing you should be doing. The first thing we all should be focused on is starting an opt-in mailing list and setting up with a opt-in form or some means of collecting email addresses on every page of our site.

The really great thing about collecting email addresses is the fact that they allow you to develop a relationship with your subscribers, and hence the trust factor goes up and people are more inclined to accept your offer for any products that you might recommend to them. So it is important to provide people who have subscribed to your list quality content for free. The more quality you provide them the more trust ...

IS OPERATING AN AUTORESPONDER EASY?  by

 Darren W Chow
4/19/2008 at 10:10
But before the new marketer starts, fear sets in. They’re afraid of technology. They’re afraid of losing money. They afraid of failure. They find all the possible reasons to be afraid.

For fear to dissipate, the new marketer needs knowledge. With knowledge comes understanding, and fear cannot exist in the presence of understanding.

List building, like everything else in Internet Marketing, can be fearful for some. Unless they start to understand that operating a list building software is actually very easy.

List building software automates the task of sending multiple emails to prospects and customers. Emails that are scheduled to be sent automatically are also commonly known as autoresponders. They respond to the prospects automatically.

For instance, when a prospect first leaves his email on a website, the autoresponder will automatically send out the first email. And if there’s a second email, scheduled to send say one day after the first email, the prospect will receive the second email one day after he receives the first email automatically. All these activities happen within the autoresponder software without any human intervention.

This makes the job of the list builder very easy, simple and straight forward. Let’s say you would like to promote multiple products to your prospects, but you don’t want to confuse them by sending them to a webpage with numerous products to choose from. So what you can do is to promote the products one by one by scheduling the emails to be sent automatically and periodically to the prospects.

This will also free up ...
